His electrical engineering research includes wireless communication methods and systems, as well as signal processing and sensors. He has about 135 journal and conference papers, several granted patents, has given many invited talks and made numerous presentations, has served as technical program committee member or chair for a number of IEEE and Acoustical Society of America (ASA) conferences or sessions, and has served as editor or guest editor for some IEEE journals. For his fundamental research contributions, he has been elected as an IEEE Fellow. He has also received New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame Innovators Award and IEEE Region 1 Award.
